diva destruction’s (very old) website is gone

Diva Destruction is a female-fronted gothic rock band first formed in the late 90s, and they’re still going!

and - just as fascinating to me, being such a geek about the old internet - their old website is still going too.

so, i did a bit of trawling of the WayBack Machine and…

…it looks like the original site design (with the exception of slowly adding social media links) has not been changed since the year 2000 - which would make this website, including its OG design, 26 years old!!

(also, good to see another goth girlie clearly appreciating black and purple as an online aesthetic.)

or at least, it was still going the last time i checked, which was like two months ago.

i went back for a nostalgia look - because it’s always fun to see real old internet relics out in the wild - and… it’s gone.

nooooo 😭😭

i wonder if this means they’re updating it?

it’s funny: i’d been thinking a fun little web design project for myself would be to redesign for Diva Destruction, since they’re one of my fave goth bands and i love making websites as a form of digital art.

maybe i should have gotten onto it sooner lol.
